Friday 21st September 2012: The Bond Blu-ray Relay Tour made its way to Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, where location filming took place for Goldfinger (1964) and Tomorrow Never Dies (1997).

On hand to give the 50th anniversary promotional activities a nostalgic tone was the screen’s first Bond Girl, Eunice Gayson, who played Trench, Sylvia Trench in Dr. No (1962) and From Russia With Love (1963) opposite Sean Connery’s Bond, James Bond. The ever-effervescent 84-year-old Eunice was joined by Bond Girls Tania Mallet, the luckless Tilly Masterson from Goldfinger who fell victim to Oddjob’s deadly steel-rimmed chapeau, and the ever lovely Britt Ekland, whose Mary Goodnight in The Man With The Golden Gun (1974) spent more time hindering Roger Moore’s 007 than scuppering Scaramanga’s plans. Not to be overshadowed by the contingent of Bond Girls was the largest and most popular Bond Bad Guy in the 007 series, Jaws – the gentle giant Richard Kiel.
